PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY NAACP BRANCH
CURRENT CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUES
Know Our Civil Rights History
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE COUNTRY'S HISTORY?

To know the history is to have success in the future. Without learning about the contributions and struggles our forefathers have endured we steal the success for the next generation.
Building Strong Academics
Education is what makes our future doable. Knowledge is what makes the life we wish to live more comfortable and with less stress; therefore, we must provide the best education possible for our children, as well as inform parents and guardians of the expectation the county is offering.
An Environment That We
Can Live With
A clean environment is not just the job of the trash collectors, but a responsibility for all of us. We need to teach our children the importance of clean air and clutter-free highways and this would be a major step in securing an eco-friendly living space.

We are partnering and supporting organizations that are seeking funding and pushing for bills to lessen the housing burden on our families.
Healthy Living
Caring for our seniors and children are high priorities for the PGC NAACP. We are working with nutritionist, hospitals, and wellness centers to help families learn what are healthy foods.
Small and Minority Businesses
Small businesses are the backbones of our economy. It is imperative that we support them in their quest to offer great products and services.
